Secret Studio Sessions Vol.1 | 2019 | Paulo Gomes Trio
Without the usual boundaries of original repertoire lines or American jazz or music from any other origin, what I most value and look for in this trio is the collective sound and the pleasure of making the music I like the most. Without pretensions and in my favorite formation... the trio!
Paulo Gomes and Fátima Serro are one of the most regular working duos in national jazz
Projects such as the “Quinteto de Fátima Serro”, the “Conferencia dos Sons” or the “Quinto Elemento” are some of the fruits of this collaboration that has existed since the early 1990s.
Works throughout the country (mainland and islands), in Spain, Germany, Belgium or Holland, with outstanding national musicians (Pedro Barreiros, Bruno Pedroso, Jorge Reis, Bernardo Moreira, Laurent Filipe, Zé Eduardo, Carlos Bica....) and foreigners (Julian Arguelles, Rolf Delfos, Henry Lowther, Ben Van Den Dungen, Anton Drukker, Pascal Vermeer…) support the quality of the works they regularly present. Edited records such as “Day By Day”, “Outra História”, “Intro”, or “Quinto Elemento” document this common path.
